ExCom has decided the association has sufficient funds for a electric fence along the Marina’s northern boundary, according to one of their recent communications. Strange how these things only come about at the time of the AGM, when they have to account to their members.

Quite frankly, the association is already incapable of maintaining the current fencing they had installed, yet, here they are about to embark on yet another brainless installation.

Electric fencing is an effective criminal barrier – if it works. It seems however that the association is only looking for decorative fencing, judging by its current fencing installations.

I wonder too whether this installation will be out for tender or will there be the usual who know who, got a job for you, with usual kick back.

Why is the current electric fencing not maintained? Has the Association not heard of a maintenance contract!
