Personally, I like it – BUT IT DOES NOT CONFORM TO MARINA DA GAMA STANDARDS

Eastlake Shopping Centre
ExCom have informed us that the Architectural Committee of the Association have been in constant contact with the developers of the new Eastlake Shopping Centre about this blatant transgression of Marina Standards, however the new style remains. The question therefore is: How much power does the Marina Da Gama Association really wield?
The Association claims to enforce standards in Marina Da Gama, they send out letters to tell us to paint our homes, fix our fences etc. but what can they really do if their demands are ignored?
What do we really pay them for? They are not responsible for the upkeep of public parks. They are not responsible for the clearing of the waterways. We have to take care of our own sidewalks and now it is evident that they are not capable of enforcing standards. You tell me: Why do we still need to pay?

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackCome on, get a life. This shopping centre has been an eye sore for many years. Finally someone took the initiative, and money, to upgrade this much needed area, and you have a mouthful to say. Where were you all the time when the place was faling apart?
I am proud to finally be able to walk to a shop in my area and use the services offered. Why don’t you rather support the people and build on their effort?
You guys are very quick to critisise and way too slow to compliment. How about ONE thing positive from you for a change?
